Somewhere Within You, You Have Everything You Were Created to Be

What if the thing that brings you the most joy is actually the thing you were created to do?

This was taken after my very first keynote. So many women came up afterwards in tears, giving me the biggest hugs, telling me how my story helped them feel seen, heard, and reminded them that their past doesn’t define them. It was in that moment - surrounded by these beautiful souls - that everything was confirmed for me. This wasn’t just something I was good at. This was what I was created to do. Sometimes your calling reveals itself not in a quiet moment of prayer, but in the faces of the people your story touches. This photo captures the exact moment I knew I was on the right path.

Your calling isn’t hiding from you. It’s not some mysterious thing you have to go searching for in far-off places or completely new territories.

Somewhere within you, you have everything you were created to be.

What’s so crazy about discovering my true calling is that it was always there. It was always in me.

There were times throughout my life where I somewhat stepped into this path - encouraging other women, creating content to help people, pouring into others - but life would take over and I’d veer away. I was too busy surviving to see what was right in front of me.

I didn’t have the understanding or knowledge to recognize it. I didn’t slow down enough to realize that what felt like a passion project could actually be something I could DO for a living.

I was too busy being a mom, a mortgage lender, navigating single party days, building a new relationship then marriage, new house, new career… everything else took center focus.

All of that busyness blurred my ability to see that I really had a niche and true calling - not just a passion.

It wasn’t until I had that nudge to do more. I prayed on it, and God gave me the vision of speaking and starting MBS. That’s when my whole life flashed before my eyes.

Suddenly, I could see it all clearly.

My passion for fitness. My love for lifting up and encouraging other women. My drive to create content that would help people. My joy in doing things that made other people’s lives easier.

These weren’t just random interests I’d picked up along the way. They were breadcrumbs leading me to who I was created to be.

I realized I was created to do this work. It wasn’t just a passion - it was who I am and what I was called to do in this world.

Sometimes I kick myself for not seeing it sooner. I wish I could go back in time and tell that version of me to wake up and see what I loved, what made me truly happy, what lit me up from the inside.

But I know there was a lot of growth that happened during those years too. Every experience, every detour, every season of busyness was preparing me for this moment of clarity.

Here’s what I want you to know: If there’s something you really love to do, something that makes you happy every time you do it, examine it a little deeper.

Don’t just push it aside as “just a hobby” or “just something I enjoy.”

Sit with it. Pray on it. Pay attention to it.

Because now that I’ve realized what I thought was just a passion is actually my calling, the work that I do doesn’t feel like work at all.

It brings me joy and peace like I’ve never experienced before.

Your calling isn’t hiding from you. It’s not some mysterious thing you have to go searching for in far-off places or completely new territories.

It’s been whispering to you through what brings you joy. It’s been showing up in what you naturally gravitate toward. It’s been revealing itself in the moments when you lose track of time because you’re so engaged in what you’re doing.

The golden thread has been there all along, woven through your life experiences, your natural gifts, your deepest satisfactions.

You don’t need to discover your calling. You need to recognize it.

Stop waiting for lightning to strike. Start paying attention to what’s already lighting you up.

Stop dismissing your gifts as “not important enough” or “not practical enough.”

Stop pushing aside what brings you alive because you’re too busy managing everything else.

Somewhere within you, you have everything you were created to be.

The question isn’t whether you have a calling. The question is whether you’re willing to slow down long enough to see what’s been calling to you all along.

Your passion might not just be a passion. It might be your purpose disguised as something you love.

What if the thing that brings you the most joy is actually the thing you were created to do?

What if you already have everything you need?

What if it’s been there all along, waiting for you to stop running long enough to recognize it?
